This drain's name is exactly opposite to what is believed about Etobicoke/Mississauga drains on the whole. Although there is the odd diamond in the rough and Great Expectation is just that. Starting right from the large outfall, Great Expectation's 3000mm RCP draws you inwards with a cool breeze as a nice break from the summer sun. The uniformity of this large RCP is broken up here and there by a few manhole chambers and grates that are open to the air above. The real fun begins when you reach the feature presentation, the large waterfall. This could be called the "great" part of Great Expectation but that's pretty cheesey and doesn't entirely make sense. We'll just leave it at that.
