21 Golden Steps was one of the first drains explored by AOTU in our early days. With nothing more than a mag-lite and a disposable camera in hand (see old pics) we explored this very drain. The RCB construction carries Yellow Creek underground for roughly 1km at the bottom of the Park Drive Reservation Lands ravine, before emptying into the Don River. The steps for which the drain is named after simply let water cascade down while the drain changes elevation. A beautiful 'window' (overflow grate) is near the first set of steps, which makes for great photo op. Currently the outfall to this drain to completely submerged just upstream from the Three Tenors outfall.
